Speedway Engine Development Incorporated was founded in 1996 by Herb Porter and Rick Long. We have built winning race engines for IndyCar, World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series, USAC Midget, Sprint, and Silver Crown teams, and more. We were the sole engine supplier for the Indy Light series, Which ran the Nissan Infinity engines from 2006 to 2014. We have experience building and supporting IndyCar race engines that include: Oldsmobile Aurora/Gen 1, Chevrolet/Gen 2 and Gen 3, Chevy Cosworth/Gen 4, Cosworth DFX, and Offenhauser engines. We are currently building and supporting 410 and 360 Sprint car engines, Toyota and Mopar Midget engines, and many more. We have won multiple series championships, Chili Bowl four years in a row and are proud of what we have accomplished.
